"Fourteen
holes wrap around and parallel the water allowing
only the most accurate player to prosper."
Duck Woods Country
Club is a semi-private course that opened in 1969.
Course architect Ellis Maples designed a course that
demands accuracy and precision on each hole
especially the 14 holes that parallel the water. The
course also offers other visual beauties as it is
frequented by deer, geese, raccoons, and rabbits.
The most challenging hole is the par 4 16th hole,
which is 440 yards, however, it plays longer thanks
to the sneaky Outer Banks wind. Before you play the
course stop by and hit a couple of balls at the
driving range. See you on the links!.

The
staff at Nags Head Golf Links would like to welcome
you to our true Scottish links style course located
on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. This
championship course was created through the
enhancement of its natural wind-swept environment
and features five holes framed by the Roanoke Sound.
Architects Jerry Turner and Bob Moore designed the
Links with shot placement being the top priority;
the long hitter may find himself with little
advantage. Varying wind speed and direction add to
the difficulty and beauty of this course. As
Golf Digest said when it featured the Links
in 1991, "this is the longest 6126 yards you'll ever
play." Golf Digest went on to say,
"At Nags Head the holes along the Sound are among
the most beautiful in the eastern United States."
Nags
Head Golf Links offers a fully stocked golf shop and
the Links Grille which overlooks the Roanoke Sound
with it's beautiful sunsets. Also available are
private lessons and group clinics conducted by our
PGA staff. Again, we hope you enjoy the challenge of
the Links and our hospitable staff.
